Postmodernism

I have completed some more research in to what postmodernism is in media in order to help develop my knowledge and understanding of the topic. Postmodernism came in to place in society during the 1970's, and has now had many infulences on society such as media and other areas like sociology. It is believed that we know are living in a new era of postmodernity. Where the images we are shown in the media and reality are indistinguishable. Postmodernist argue that culture and indentity in postmodern society is different from modern society. This is because the media is creating images that are not reality. As a result of this culture in society is becoming fragmented and unstable.
